Richard has worked across the Australian grain supply chain in operations; market research and big data analysis; strategic planning; stakeholder management; and international customer relations. He understands customer expectations for quality and has a strong knowledge of grain value chains through his post-farmgate quality management roles with AWB Limited and the CBH Group.
He managed the classification process and the broader crop shaping activities for AWB Limited, and as an inaugural member of the first independent classification panel in 2003, helped develop the structure of today’s wheat variety classification system. Richard is passionate about bringing together unique data sets through collaboration to tackle industry issues.
His PhD examined wheat variety classification boundaries across Australia and his consultancy business groIQ published big data wheat quality research findings internationally. He is currently working for the CBH Group in a logistics quality planning role.
